Overcombe House Accessibility Statement

We understand that some of our guests may have special requirements.  If you have difficulty reading text on our website then please contact us and we will be happy to provide information in large print.

We are committed to “Tourism For All”, we aim to provide an equal welcome to all guests, disabled and able bodied.  We actively encourage prospective guests to telephone and discuss their individual requirements with us prior to making a reservation.  In doing this guests can be confident that the accommodation booked will be suitable for their requirements.

Overcombe House has been assessed by the National Accessibility Scheme and we have been awarded Mobility 1 & Mobility 2.  Access to the property is via a permanent concrete ramp.  We have two ground floor bedrooms; one of which is a twin room which has a wheel-in-shower room with rails to the toilet, shower seat, seat riser for the toilet and a non slip tiled floor.  The second ground floor room is a double room and there is a 12.5cm(5 inches) raised step into the shower.  Our dining room is also on the ground floor and there are no steps or door threshold’s to inhibit or restrict movement.  We have six further bedrooms all of which are on the first floor.  There is no lift on the premises.

We are happy to provide assistance to guests with their luggage on arrival or departure.

Our premises are protected with a fire alarm, in the event of an emergency and the alarm sounds we have to ensure that all guests are evacuated should the need arise.  If any guest feels that they might need help or assistance in the event of an emergency then please let us know at the time of booking or upon arrival.

Regretfully we do not accept dogs/pets; however, we are happy to accept guide/assistance dogs.
