Enjoy Stunning Views & Award Winning Breakfasts
There is always plenty to do when you stay at 'Overcombe House' in Devon's glorious Dartmoor National Park. Dartmoor is one of the largest and wildest areas of open country in southern England. Dartmoor National Park is 368 square miles in area, just over one square mile for each day of the year. With heather-covered moorland and deep wooded gorges, beautiful lake-like reservoirs and tumbling rocky rivers, thriving market towns and villages, patchwork farmland and craggy granite tor's it truly is the ultimate destination for you to explore, enjoy & escape the pressures of the world.
Within easy reach you have access to activities such as bouldering, tree surfing, kayaking, geocaching, rock climbing, moorland and gorge walking, horse riding, cycling, fly and coarse fishing and golfing to name but a few. For those of you who enjoy less energetic pastimes there are farmers markets, historic houses, museums, craft shops & galleries, gardens and interesting churches to visit.
We have lots of maps, leaflets & guidebooks detailing how you can get the most out of your stay on Dartmoor which of course you are welcome to borrow and take with you to ensure you do not accidentally get lost! All we ask is that you return them to us after your fun filled day so they are available for others to enjoy; but if you need them again please do ask as we have several copies of most items.
